On 30th May 2025, marks a significant milestone in Sabah’s industrial development with the successful hosting of the Launching Ceremony of Esteel Enterprise Sabah Sdn Bhd Phase I, officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and attended by YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, Chief Minister of Sabah, at SICC, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
This high-impact project is part of a strategic initiative to strengthen Sabah’s position as a hub for downstream oil and gas activities. It is expected to generate thousands of employment opportunities, promote knowledge and skills development, and enhance the overall economic competitiveness of the state.
As the implementing agency under the Sabah State Government, SOGDC is honoured to play a key role in coordinating and facilitating this project, in line with the state’s development agenda under Sabah Maju Jaya.
