Today, YB Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, Sabah Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship (MIDE), conducted an official working visit to the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP) to assess the latest progress of the Esteel project.
The Minister was accompanied by Datuk Thomas Logijin, Permanent Secretary of MIDE; YBhg. Datuk Ramlee Kariah, Chief Operating Officer of SSMJ; and representatives from SOGDC, led by Tuan Yakoob Mahmod, Group Manager of Technical and Professional Services.
During the visit, Mr. Nick Xu Yihang, Managing Director of Esteel Enterprise Sabah Sdn. Bhd., delivered a comprehensive briefing on the project’s current developments, key milestones, and future outlook to the Minister and his delegation.
This visit reflects the State Government’s continued commitment to driving strategic investments and strengthening the growth of Sabah’s heavy industries. It also demonstrates the government’s focus on ensuring that high-impact projects such as Esteel are implemented smoothly and remain on track as scheduled.
